Florists, planners, and brides love creating inspiration boards. Several of my catering colleagues in New York, California, & Miami have told me they are creating inspiration boards for their clients receptions now too. Our first board is for a spring garden reception we are catering this April. The bride wanted a lot of Parisian style sweets complete with the latest trend of the year, the macaroon. We are incorporating lots of shabby chic accents complete with some antique toil pieces I picked up at a local estate sale. They are using lots of spring colors- honeydew, cotton candy pink, electrum, golds, raspberry, seafoam, and some hints of yellow. She found lots of vintage fans, cake stands, and glassware that we are including in the display as well. We are still putting the last additions to the menu so I will make sure and post when it is ready!
