465px-deltasigmatheta_svg1Tonight we had the pleasure of catering the annual banquet for the alumni of Delta Sigma Theta in Bowling Green KY. Heres the exciting part: their caterer messed up the date and they called us yesterday to see if we were available. Of course I said yes as we had nothing going on tonight. This was a formal banquet though and required linens, china, glassware, staff, and needed it in 24 hours!

My staff did a fantastic job and the evening was a hit. They already had a menu in print so we had to go with the other companies menu. Chicken Picatta, Beef Burgundy, green beans almandine, loaded potatoes, rolls, salad, and 2 cakes. Liberty Party rental was there to assist and provided us with all the needed rentals to make the day perfect. I highly highly recommend them for their prices and superior service. They delivered all the way to Kentucky for us! WOW!!!

The evening was great and we coordinated everything to match the sororities colors of red, black, and white. I turned dessert into our signature decadent design. The other company was sending regular chocolate and cake carrot cake so we really kicked it up. A dark chocolate cake with double chocolate truffle icing and carrot cake with cinnamon cream was created. All of the guests were so nice and gracious and we really had a nice time serving.

So now we know that we can  create a formal banquet for 160 guests in 24 hours. I am super tired, but it was great.
